April Archer, Chief Executive Officer
When humans crave water, it may be for adventure, for joy, or for healing. April’s passion is to connect female anglers with excellent equipment that provides strength, performance, and finesse to the fly fishing experience. As CEO of SaraBella Fishing, she helps her customers understand the art and the quality of fly rod production, and she believes in supporting the local community through employment, collaboration, and education. At the core of SaraBella’s mission, April believes in women’s rights and the significance of empowering women to impact the world in smart, beautiful ways.
April’s Dad taught her to fish when she was a toddler, and she has fly-fished since 2000. She loves to fish with her husband and their 3 daughters, who are gaining enthusiasm as anglers. As a Colorado native, she fishes with tenacity and finesse, and she cherishes the access to beautiful public lands and water. In her fishing experience, some of her favorite experiences include Denver’s front range trout and warm-water fish, the Colorado mountains’ trout species, Wyoming’s rivers and Snowy Range brook, rainbow, cutthroat and brown, Mexico’s big salt water fish, and Patagonia Chile’s sea run brown trout.
She earned a Master of Arts in international studies from the Korbel School at the University of Denver, is passionate about human rights and health/wellness, and serves on the boards of directors for COActive and Colorado Women Flyfishers. Recently, April earned a Certificate in International Trade from the World Trade Center to support SaraBella’s international trade developments.
April’s professional experience includes research/marketing in Deloitte’s international tax department, directing the University of Denver’s Wellness Living & Learning Community, and owning/operating her photography business.
In the future, April hopes to catch more carp in the urban ponds of Denver. She also dreams of fishing throughout the USA, back to South America, more salt water, pretty much anywhere. Everywhere she goes, April is known for saying, “I’d fish that.” She looks forward to bringing SaraBella Fishing to women and girls around the world.
“For me, fly-fishing is a spiritual adventure of gratitude, persistence, patience, humility, thrill, and beauty. It brings perspective, joy, and adventure.” -April Archer
JT Archer, Chief Operations Officer
JT is the Renaissance man of the SaraBella team, where he helps with whatever needs to get done to ensure that the very best products are created for women. He has spent the bulk of his near 20-year career working in big technology companies and small start-ups, in varying executive capacities including sales, engineering, and operations.
As a father of 3 daughters and husband of the SaraBella CEO, he understands that all who are interested can share the beauty of fly-fishing. The experiences of being in nature while fly-fishing are further enhanced when the very best equipment is provided. He hopes that SaraBella will help ensure that women have better opportunities than ever before to explore the beauty and joy of fly-fishing.
On the personal front, the greatest joys in his life include hearing his daughters yell with excitement when a dry fly disappears, and watching April absorb the beauty of the great outdoors. He dreams of fishing in the Southern Hemisphere when Colorado freezes over in the winter.
Scott Grieble, Chief Technical & Production Officer
Scott grew up in the Northeast, and when he wasn’t working or attending school, he was fishing. He has worked in the construction and technology industries for 20+ years and is extremely excited to be part of the SaraBella Fishing team. He spent many wonderful hours with friends and family fishing for perch, walleye, crappie, bass and other species in the lakes of upstate New York. When he moved with his family to Colorado, he began to discover the amazing joys of fly-fishing. His very good friend, JT, hijacked him from work one day and took him to a favorite fly fishing shop — the rest is history. Crafting quality products for women so that they can experience the many joys of fly-fishing is a passion and longtime dream.
As a husband and a father (of two sons and one daughter), Scott believes that the greatest gift is to spend time with friends and family in beautiful settings, enjoying the simple pleasures of fishing. Traditions are built in this way, and he can think of no more beautiful gift to pass on to his family. Scott wants to help others enjoy these experiences and build traditions of their own. Building great equipment for women and removing the perceived mysteries that often seem to surround fly-fishing will allow so many to build a lifetime of beautiful memories.
Scott looks forward to fishing with family and friends in Chile, New Zealand, and numerous other beautiful locations around the globe. At SaraBella Fishing, we look forward to helping women and girls realize their dreams.
